E-2C Hawkeye



The Grumman E-2 Hawkeye is an American all-weather, carrier-tactical Airborne Early Warning (AEW) aircraft. The two aircraft was designed in the 1950s by Grumman developed for the United States Navy as a replacement for R-1 tracer. The United States Navy aircraft progressively updated with the latest variant, the E-2D, first flying in 2007. A small number of other countries is given, is Japan's largest foreign operator.

The plane was nicknamed "Super Fudd", since the "Willy Fudd" (the E-1 Tracer). Currently, the most nicknamed "Hummer" for the characteristic sound of two turboprop engines.
