The 885 series (885系?) is an AC EMU type used on limited express routes operated by JR Kyushu in Japan. The type is part of Hitachi's A-train family of multiple units. The 885 series is utilised on two of JR Kyushu's named trains:
* Kamome - The Kamome (Seagull) Limited Express operates between Hakata and Nagasaki on the Kagoshima and Nagasaki lines. The 885 series fleet entered service in 2000.
* Sonic - The Sonic Limited Express operates between Hakata and Ōita using the Kagoshima and Nippō lines. The 885 series fleet on this entered service in 2001.
The Kamome fleet was built and entered service as six-car units. Initially, the Sonic fleet entered service as five-car units, but were extended to six cars in 2003 to allow interchangeability between the two fleets. Although only capable of 130 km/h, the tilt mechanism means most journeys can be made in around two hours.

The GG1-type electric locomotive was developed and owned by Pennsylvania Railroad, an American company. It was known throughout the world because of its sleek body by French designer Raymond Loewy and is considered Pennsylvania Railroad's "signature locomotive." A total of 139 locomotives were manufactured from 1934 to 1943 and they remained in service until the beginning of the 80s. Today, although they are no longer in use and many have been scrapped, we can still find some in museums, etc.

James is the No. 5 red engine. He is a medium-sized engine whose six driving wheels are not as big as Gordon's but not as small as Thomas'. He has a fine scarlet coat and brass dome and thinks of himself as a Really Splendid Engine. Occasionally this leads to misguided ideas about the sort of work suitable for such a distinguished engine, invariably landing James in trouble.

Linimo is a maglev train in Aichi, Japan, near Nagoya. Although primarily built to serve the Expo 2005, this route still in operation to serve the local community.
Linimo claims as "Urban Maglev" world's first automated commercial. Maglev trains with linear motor has a maximum speed of 100 km / h, hovering eight millimeters above the rails while on the move, and are intended as a choice than conventional metro system, not high speed trains. This track has nine stations and has a length of 8.9 km. The train was designed by the Chubu HSST Development Corporation, which also operates a test track in Nagoya. Construction of this route spend ¥ 60 billion (U.S. $ 575 million) while the carriage, made by Nippon Sharyo, spend ¥ 40.5 billion (U.S. $ 380 million) [1]. So sekitara construction costs spent U.S. $ 100 million / km.
